A wild setting between river and mountains
The Bocal du Tech beach stretches along the boundary between Elne and Argelès-sur-Mer, where the Tech river meets the sea. It borders the Mas Larrieu Nature Reserve, 160 protected hectares, which explains the total absence of any construction nearby.
The panorama works in its favor: the Pyrenees on one side, Argelès and Collioure on the other. The sand is fine, and the place stays wild despite its popularity.
Two clearly distinct zones
The beach is split into two clearly separated sections. Toward Saint-Cyprien, the space is reserved for families and is not naturist.
Toward Argelès, the section is exclusively naturist. This clear separation avoids misunderstandings and lets everyone find their spot without tension.

As for facilities, the essentials are here: showers, toilets, access designed for people with reduced mobility and a parking lot. Lifeguard patrols run during the season, a real plus for swimming with peace of mind.
No bar or restaurant right on the sand, but you'll find some nearby for a lunch break or a late afternoon coffee. Dogs are allowed on this site.

The feedback that comes up most often describes a relaxed, respectful place, where the mix of visitors works well precisely because the zones are separated. The beach attracts naturists from all over Europe, a fairly noticeable gay crowd, couples and families on the non-naturist side.

Practical info
Opening follows the classic seasonal rhythm of the coast, with active lifeguard patrols during summer. The ground is sand along its whole length, with no pebbles or rocks getting in the way of getting into the water.
To get there, aim for the entrance on the Argelès side if you're heading straight for the naturist section, since the family zone occupies the other end toward Saint-Cyprien.
