The biggest naturist beach around

Plage du Layet stretches over roughly 300 meters of fine sand, shaded by vegetation that runs right down to the shore. It's the most popular naturist beach in Le Lavandou, drawing a mix of regular naturists and families looking for a wilder setting than the beaches near the town center.

Naturism is tolerated across the whole stretch of sand, in a setting that stays discreet despite the summer crowds.

An access that has to be earned

You reach the beach via a sloping path from the CD 559, not exactly easy, but it has the benefit of filtering out casual passersby and preserving the spot's intimate feel. Parking is along the curve of the road, with a limited number of spaces: better to arrive early in the morning during peak season, or you'll end up circling for a while or parking far off.

The parking itself is free, which isn't so common along this part of the Var coast.

Once you're there

Once settled in, visitors will find showers, toilets and a restaurant, Chez Jo, set right on the sand for lunch or a break without having to trek back up to the parking lot. The beach is accessible all year round, but summer is really when it comes alive, with crowds that can quickly get dense.

Feedback mostly highlights the contrast between the effort to get there and the reward once you're on site: a wild, unspoiled setting, far from the usual seaside bustle. The tricky access is almost seen as a filter that keeps the beach's intimate character intact despite its popularity.
