A hidden cove
Anthéor beach is nothing like a developed beach. It's a small cove on the wild Estérel coastline, framed by the red rocks characteristic of the massif. People come here for the scenery more than for comfort.
Naturism tolerated
Like a few other coves in the area (le Dramont, le Trayas), Anthéor is occasionally frequented by naturists. Nothing official: no status, no sign, just a practice settled in by the locals.
Access and setting
You get there via the road from Saint-Barthélemy to Saint-Raphaël, then a long downhill walk to the shore. The ground is a mix of sand and rocks, and the water stays clear for swimming. A car park lets you leave your car before the approach walk.
A discreet destination
Compared to the better known naturist beaches of the Var, Anthéor remains under the radar. Few reviews circulate about it, which fits the spirit of the place perfectly: a cove for those seeking quiet rather than a crowd.
