An XXL estate in the Landes
Arnaoutchot is basically the giant of naturism in the Landes. 45 hectares of preserved pine forest in Vielle-Saint-Girons, between forest and ocean, with 420 camping pitches and 215 rentals (mobile homes, wooden chalets, lodge tents, all the way up to premium chalets). Let's just say you could spend a week here without ever crossing the same patch of shade twice.
The naturist beach is a five-minute walk away, and that changes everything: no need to get the car out to go swim naked in the Atlantic, just a little path through the pines.
Pools, spa and small pleasures
On the relaxation side, the estate doesn't do things by halves: heated outdoor pool, indoor pool, paddling pool for the little ones, plus sauna, hammam and jacuzzi for those who like to stretch out the lounging session. All rounded out by an on-site restaurant, bar, snack shop and grocery store, so you never actually have to leave the campsite.
There's also a bike rental service for exploring the surrounding area and a handy laundry service for stays of several weeks.
Built with families in mind
This is clearly one of Arnaoutchot's strong points: the mini club for ages 3 to 12 and the teen club for ages 13 to 17 keep the kids busy while parents enjoy the quiet. Online reviews really emphasize this family side, with a mixed crowd, couples, groups of friends and lots of families with children, all in an atmosphere that stays relaxed despite the size of the site.
For adults who want to move a bit, yoga sessions and hiking outings are offered regularly.
Rates and practical access
The campsite is open all year round, with reception open from 9:30am to 12:30pm then 2pm to 7pm during high season (hours are a bit tighter in low season, around 9am to 5pm). On the budget side, standard pitches start at 170 euros a week, and rates climb to around 1,262 euros for premium chalets in high season.
The site is accessible to people with reduced mobility and offers wifi across the whole estate. Visitor feedback especially praises the modern infrastructure and the immediate closeness to the sea, two strengths that come up often in the comments.
