Gang bang
A gang bang refers to a group sex practice where one person has sex with several partners, at the same time or one after the other, within a framework everyone has agreed to.
The gang bang (from the English gangbang) refers to a group sex configuration where a single person has sex with several partners, simultaneously or one after the other. People sometimes speak of the "central" or "receiving" partner, though the vocabulary varies a lot from one scene to another.
The word covers every configuration: one woman with several men, one man with several men or several women, all the combinations exist. What defines the practice isn't the gender of the participants but the numerical imbalance, fully owned.
In practice, a consensual gang bang is planned, and far more than people imagine. You settle in advance on the number of participants, the practices allowed and those that are off the table, the systematic use of condoms, a stop word or gesture that halts everything immediately, and often a trusted person tasked with watching over the frame. Regular STI testing, lube in quantity and breaks (drinking, breathing, getting dressed again if you want) are part of the setup, not a detail.
One important point, and a counter-intuitive one: the person at the centre isn't passive. She's the one who sets the tempo, who allows, who refuses, who stops. A gang bang where the "receiver" endures without being able to say no is no longer a sexual practice, it's an assault.
Hence a confusion worth clearing up. In French, the word "tournante" doesn't mean a gang bang but a gang rape, a crime. A gang bang assumes the free and revocable consent of everyone involved, including the "multiple" partners, who can also step out along the way.
