Plage du Gros Pins

A textile beach with its own naturist corner

The Plage du Gros Pin, sometimes called Plage de Grimaud, stretches between Sainte-Maxime and Grimaud, right next to the Camping des Mures. It's mostly a clothed beach, but a section of about 150 meters is tolerated for naturism.

To find it, just follow the wall bordering the beach on the left. The sand is fine there, the view over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez is wide open, and the spot stays tucked away enough that you won't feel watched.

Atmosphere and crowd

What comes up most often in reviews is the friendly, family vibe of the place. Plenty of regulars come back year after year, which gives the naturist zone a community feel rather than an anonymous spot.

You'll find regular naturists, couples and families here, in a calm, easygoing atmosphere. In summer, the crowd picks up noticeably and the parking lot fills fast, so it's best to arrive early if you want to enjoy the spot without fighting for a space.

Access and services

The beach is easy to reach from the coastal road (D559), with free parking right nearby. Access to the beach itself is free, no entry fee to worry about.

On site, you'll find showers and toilets, plus a snack bar that opens during the summer season. The site stays accessible all year, even if the vibe and the crowd obviously change a lot between July-August and the rest of the year.

What to take away

The Plage du Gros Pin isn't a big naturist site in the strict sense, more of a tolerated section on a wider textile beach. But that's exactly what people like about this modest, low-key format: no crowds, a superb view over Saint-Tropez, and an atmosphere where you feel at ease quickly, especially if you keep coming back.
