A discreet beach on the Anglet coast
Plages des Cavaliers is part of the wider stretch of beaches lining Anglet. Naturism is tolerated there in practice, even though no official text sanctions it. It's this slightly unofficial status that shapes the mood: no sign, no marked zone, just a habit long settled among the regulars.
How to get there
You reach it through a pedestrian tunnel that runs under the golf course, at the end of avenue du Vallon. This somewhat out of the way access partly explains why the spot remains known mostly to local naturists rather than passing tourists.
Setting and supervision
The beach is sandy, like the rest of the Anglet coastline. Lifeguard supervision runs during the summer season, which is reassuring for swimming. The rest of the year, the area returns to its usual calm and discretion.
