A wide, generous beach

Plage des Corsaires stretches out in Anglet with fine sand and enough width to leave room for everyone. That's exactly what makes it special: families, surfers and naturists share the space without stepping on each other's toes too much.

Some visitors say they were caught off guard the first time they spotted nudists settled further down the sand, but the overall welcome stays easygoing. The coexistence works, carried along by the sheer amount of space available.

Naturism, a tolerated tradition

Naturism isn't officially authorized here, but in practice, a zone has settled in over time and nobody seems keen to challenge it. It's a well established habit more than a regulated status, which explains why you won't find an official sign or any strict boundary.

What you'll find on site

The beach comes equipped with bins, toilets and a nearby car park, which makes long days there easier. Lifeguards are on duty in season, a reassuring point when it comes to swimming.

Dogs are welcome on the sand, with restricted hours for water access depending on the time of year. Enough to enjoy a walk with your pet without getting stuck.

General atmosphere

Online reviews mostly praise the cleanliness and regular upkeep of the site, along with the beauty of the setting. The fine sand and the width of the beach keep coming up as strong points, as does the calm you'll find here even in peak season, compared to other busier spots along the Basque coast.
