A tolerated beach unlike the others

Hardelot Plage, sometimes called Plage du Centre Nautique d'Hardelot, is one of those rare spots on the Hauts-de-France coastline where naturism is tolerated without being confined to a small isolated strip of sand. We're talking about 10 kilometers of coast here, which leaves plenty of room for everyone, textile wearers and naturists alike.

Tolerance doesn't mean a separate zone: the practice fits into a classic seaside space, also frequented by fishermen and water sports enthusiasts.

How to get there

Access is via avenue du Général de Gaulle, followed all the way to its end point, in Neufchâtel-Hardelot. Parking is free, which isn't so common at this kind of site, and makes back and forth trips easier for those coming with kids or beach gear.

Facilities designed for a full day out

Showers, toilets, restaurants on site: everything you need to spend the day without planning it all in advance. Wheelchair access is set up, a point rare enough on naturist beaches to be worth mentioning.

On the kids' side, there's a dedicated club, and a swimming pool rounds out the offer for families who want to alternate between sea and pool. Equipment rental also lets you try windsurfing or sand yachting, two activities that are common on this windy site.

Who comes here

The beach attracts a broad crowd: regular naturists, couples, board sport athletes and fishermen cross paths without any particular friction. Lifeguard supervision is provided in season, which reassures families.

Dogs are tolerated in the southern part, outside the supervised zones, a useful detail if you're traveling with your pet.
