A discreet corner of the dunes
Plage du Blockhaus lies about 300 meters north of the main Biville beach, in the town of Héauville in the Manche region. You get there on foot from the Biville parking lot, following the dunes northwest. The most reliable landmark remains the big Vasteville bunker, a relic from World War II visible from the path.
Setting and surroundings
The site is part of a nature reserve spanning more than 600 hectares between Héauville, Vasteville, Biville and Siouville-Hague. The dunes here are tall and wild, with no particular facilities or infrastructure on site. It's a preserved environment, far from the classic seaside vibe.
Crowd
The beach is known in guides as a nudist spot, popular in particular with a gay crowd. It stays less known than the main Biville beach and getting there is a bit less straightforward. Access is free year round, weather permitting, but the reviews available for this area remain rare and mostly come from specialized forums.
