A club beach, discreet and quiet

On the shore of Lac de Laffrey, in Isère, this small naturist beach has existed since 1985, officialized by municipal decree. It's run by the club "Les Amis d'Alpes et Soleil", affiliated with the FFN and the FFNI, which gives the place a somewhat distinct identity: you're not on a wild beach open to all comers, but on a space looked after by regulars who take care of it.

Attendance stays modest depending on the day and season, but that's exactly what people love about it: feedback speaks of an authentic and warm atmosphere, far from the bustle of the big naturist beaches on the coast.

How to get there

The site is located on route Nationale 85, in Petichet, in the town of Saint-Théoffrey, not far from the Napoleon statue that lines the road. You park at the lake's water sports base parking lot, on the south side, then walk about ten minutes through the forest to reach the beach.

This little walk also acts as an airlock: by the time you arrive, you've already switched pace. Access is free when club members are present on site, which is signaled by a call bell installed at the entrance to the site.

On site

The beach itself is small, suited to a reasonable number of visitors rather than big gatherings. You'll find changing rooms, dry toilets, a fixed barbecue and even a pétanque court for quiet afternoons between dips in the lake.

The atmosphere is entirely naturist, and the regulars insist on its family-friendly, welcoming side. It's the kind of place you come to for simplicity: swim, settle in the sun, chat with the other club members without looking for anything else.
