A pebble beach on the lake
Sinard beach stretches along the shore of Lake Monteynard, in Isère. It's a small pebble beach, no sand, that has never had official naturist status. Nudity has been practiced there for a long time, as a matter of custom, without it ever being written into any regulation.
A place steeped in history
This spot long served as a naturist camp and hosted the club Amis d'Alpes et Soleil, before it relocated to Courtalet. Something of that atmosphere and its regular crowd remains, even though the club is no longer on site.
Access and attendance
You reach it after a decent hike, in a setting that's still fairly wild. Since the club left, upkeep of the path has become irregular. The beach stays lightly attended and rather low key, which makes it a spot naturists appreciate more for its seclusion than for any amenities. It's accessible all year round.
