A beach between pines and fine sand

La Lagune is located in La Teste-de-Buch, on the Arcachon Bay, and is one of the few beaches in the area where naturism is authorized by municipal decree. You can visit year round, even if the atmosphere changes completely between a Sunday in March and a Saturday in August.

The pine forest bordering the parking lot sets the tone from the moment you arrive: shade, calm, a smell of resin. Fairly short paths then lead down to the sand, which makes access easy even when you're loaded down with coolers and parasols.

Two clearly separated zones

The site clearly distinguishes a main textile zone and a naturist zone, set up a bit further south, to the left of the entrance. This clean separation avoids misunderstandings and reassures those still hesitating to take the plunge.

The naturist section welcomes a mixed crowd: couples, families, people on their own. Reviews mention little voyeurism, which isn't that common on this type of beach and reinforces its peaceful image.

The parking lot, though spacious, fills up fast in July and August: better to arrive early if you want a shady spot. The beach had temporarily closed after a fire in 2022, but the naturist zone has since returned to normal access.

Visitors especially praise the easy access and the calm of the place, two points that come up often in comments. The beach is described as clean and family friendly, far from the sometimes rowdy image of other naturist spots on the Atlantic coast.

The only downside mentioned: the summer crowds, which quickly fill up the parking lot and the beach along with it. The rest of the year, though, it's a great spot for a nude walk by the water, without crowds or pressure.
