An official beach

Kerler beach has had naturism in its DNA since a municipal decree dated July 1, 2004. This isn't a beach that's tolerated through gritted teeth, it's a clear status, and that changes a lot for anyone wanting to undress without a second thought.

The practice is allowed from April 1 to October 31, every day from 10am to sunset. Outside this period and these hours, better not risk it, the legal framework only applies to that window.

Setting and access

It stretches between Mousterlin and Mer Blanche, on a coastal strip closed off by a dune, with fine white sand and a gentle slope that makes it accessible even to families with young children. There's a parking lot nearby, and disabled access exists, though it remains limited according to available reports.

Behind it lies the Mousterlin marsh, a wetland rich in fauna and flora that gives the whole area a wild side that's fairly rare on this stretch of coast. The view of the Glénan archipelago offshore is one of those things you remember on the way back.

Atmosphere and crowd

It's one of the most popular naturist beaches in Finistère, and not just among Breton regulars. The crowd is mixed, families and naturists of all ages, in a calm rather than lively atmosphere.

The presence of lifeguards in summer is often mentioned as a real plus, it reassures families and makes for a more relaxed swim. The water stays cool, as it does along much of the Finistère coastline, but that doesn't hold many people back once they're there.
