Dunes de Kéremma

A wild setting under protection

The dunes of Kéremma unroll more than 6 kilometers of sand between Tréflez and Goulven, in Finistère. The site belongs to the Conservatoire du Littoral and is part of the Natura 2000 network, which says a lot about how fragile the environment is: shifting dunes, low vegetation, discreet wildlife.

This environmental richness has a direct downside for anyone hoping to settle in naked: access to the dunes themselves is forbidden, full stop.

Pen Ar Ch'leuz, the landmark

In practice, naturists tend to gather at the point of Pen Ar Ch'leuz, reached via the path of the same name. It's also where encounters between men concentrate, an old habit of this kind of coastal nook.

Another, more naturist pocket exists a bit further on, near Goulven, for those looking for more peace and quiet.

A tolerated but fragile practice

Be careful though: nudity on this site has never been made official. In 2018, the gendarmerie arrested naturists present in the area, just to remind everyone that access to the dunes remains forbidden, nudity or not.

So the place stays in a gray zone, between local habit and protective regulation. Those who come know this blurriness and accept it, but this isn't a naturist beach in the official sense of the term, more a tolerated use at the margins, on a site designed above all to preserve nature.
