A protected dune landscape
Odé Vras beach is located in Plounévez-Lochrist, along a dune massif stretching over six kilometers, the Kéremma dunes. This area is protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral, which explains its still-wild look, far from the concrete developments found elsewhere along the coast.
The massif breaks down into three distinct beaches, two in the town of Tréflez and Odé Vras in Plounévez-Lochrist. The view opens directly onto the Atlantic, with no obstacles, and sand running the full length.
Naturism tolerated, not official
Naturism is possible on this stretch of coast, without any formal authorization posted anywhere. In practice, naturist visitors do come here and nobody seems to mind, but it is not a regulated naturist beach in the strict sense.
Access and parking
A parking lot lets you reach the beach on foot, with direct access to the sand. The beach is unsupervised, which suits those looking for a quiet spot rather than a lifeguard post and organized activities.
Atmosphere on site
What comes up again and again in reports about this place is the calm. Even in peak season, the beach doesn't fill up like the more famous spots in the region, and the surrounding dunes give a real sense of preserved nature. People come here to walk, settle in the sun or enjoy the sea air, more than for entertainment or on-site services, which are almost nonexistent.
