This page explains what data points-g.com collects, why, how long it is kept and how you can access it or have it deleted. It describes how the site actually works, without the usual boilerplate.
Who processes your data
The data controller is BravRez SARL, 10 boulevard du parc impérial, 06000 Nice, France, publisher of points-g.com. For any question about your data: contact@points-g.com.
Browsing without an account
You can read the site without creating an account and without sending us a single piece of personal information. In that case, the only things recorded are:
- technical data from the server logs (IP address, page requested, date, browser), needed to run and secure the site,
- aggregated traffic statistics, which count pages viewed and clicks, with no profile and no visitor identifier,
- the preferences you set yourself (age confirmation, chosen visual universe), in cookies detailed below.
If you save articles while logged out, that list stays in your browser's memory and is never sent to the site. It is picked up in your account if you create one later, and it disappears if you clear your browser data.
The member account
Creating an account means we record:
- your email address, essential to identify you and send you login links,
- your password, never kept in clear text but as an encrypted hash,
- a first name or nickname if you provide one,
- your star sign or your date of birth if you want the love horoscope,
- your preferences (visual universe, whether or not you receive emails),
- your favourites and your reading history on the site,
- the page you created your account from, so we know which content brings in sign-ups.
Legal basis: performance of the service you request by creating an account, and your consent for the emails, which you can opt out of at any time.
Questions asked to the assistant
The site offers an advice assistant. Your questions and its answers are recorded to display your conversation and to count your daily quota. The text of your question is sent to our language model provider, which produces the answer, and to a semantic search service that selects which extracts of our documentation to use.
Don't type anything there you wouldn't want to leave the site. Without an account, the conversation is not linked to any identity: only a technical identifier calculated from your IP address and your browser, kept as a hash, is used to count the day's questions.
Emails
We send service emails (address confirmation, login link) and, if you have accepted them, a morning love horoscope and reading reminders. Every email contains an immediate unsubscribe link, and your preferences can be changed from your account at any time.
Emails go out through the Brevo platform, which receives your email address and the content of the message in order to deliver it.
Cookies and browser memory
The site sets no advertising cookies and shares no data with ad networks. The cookies used are the following:

These cookies are necessary for the site to work or record a choice you made yourself: they are not used to follow you from site to site, nor to build an advertising profile. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings, at the cost of losing those preferences.
Who receives your data
Your data is never sold, rented or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes. It is processed by the site's publisher and by the following technical providers:
- OVH (France): hosting of the site and the database,
- Brevo (France): email delivery,
- a language model provider and a semantic search service, based in the United States, for the assistant's answers, covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Member account: until you delete it yourself.
- Reading history: a rolling year, automatically erased beyond that.
- Login tokens: 48 hours for address confirmation, 15 minutes for a login link, 90 days for keeping the session open.
- Anti-abuse counters: a few hours, with addresses kept only as hashes.
- Conversations with the assistant: kept with your account, deleted along with it.
- Server logs: a few weeks, for security and diagnostics.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
Two of those rights can be exercised straight from your account, without writing to us:
- Export your data: your account, your preferences, your favourites and your history in one file.
- Delete your account: your address and your personal information are erased.
For any other request, write to contact@points-g.com or to BravRez, 10 boulevard du parc impérial, 06000 Nice. We reply within one month. If our answer doesn't satisfy you, you can refer the matter to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored as encrypted hashes, the login links sent by email are single use, and the addresses used to limit abuse are kept only as hashes. Since no system is infallible, choose a password that is yours alone and don't reuse it elsewhere.
Minors
The site is reserved for adults. We do not knowingly create an account for a minor. If you notice that an account has been created by a minor, let us know: it will be deleted.
Changes
This policy may change along with the site, in particular if a new measurement tool or a new provider is put in place. The date of the last update appears at the bottom of this page.
