In Brignais, just minutes from Lyon, Velvet Club claims the title of the biggest swingers club in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Open since 2011, it spans roughly 1000 m² designed as a real nightlife destination rather than a simple club: two dance floors with different vibes, two bars, outdoor terraces and lounge areas to catch your breath between drinks.
The setting aims for modern and polished, far from the sometimes dim image people attach to swingers clubs. A pool and jacuzzi round things out during seasonal events, a nice way to enjoy the place beyond its indoor spaces.
Spaces and intimacy
For more private moments, private cabins are spread throughout the venue. So you can move between communal areas, where sociability comes first, and closed-off corners for those who prefer intimacy as a couple or in a small group.
The size of the place allows for this variety: you're never stuck in one single space all night, which makes a change from smaller clubs where everything happens in two or three rooms.
Nights and crowd
Velvet Club opens its doors on Fridays and Saturdays, generally from 9 pm to 4 am. The lineup changes from week to week: the first and third Fridays of the month are reserved for couples, the second and last Fridays welcome mixed nights, and Saturdays offer a variety of themes. The nights before public holidays come with special events.
The crowd is mixed: couples, single women and single men, the latter by prior request. Entry is set at 18 minimum. As for dress code, avoid shorts, sportswear and sneakers for men, and trousers, leggings and sneakers for women: a night that calls for a bit of effort, without going full ballgown either.
