A recent club at the gates of Mont-de-Marsan

Le Quetzal opened its doors in April 2023 on the outskirts of Mont-de-Marsan, in the town of Benquet. It's easy to reach from the D933S heading toward Saint-Sever, less than ten minutes from the city center. The club's name wasn't picked at random: the quetzal, that rare and colorful bird, embodies the idea of elegance and independence the venue wants to carry.

Audrey and Frédéric Barateau, the owners, transformed a 1300 square meter space to turn it into a swinging venue designed with that spirit in mind. The floor space is generous enough to offer several different moods over the course of one evening, between the bar and more intimate areas.

Crowd and dress code

Le Quetzal welcomes couples and single women, following the classic swinger club logic that seeks to preserve a certain balance between the profiles present. Access is reserved for adults aged 21 and up.

Elegant attire is required at the door. This isn't a minor detail: in a club that makes style one of its selling points, better to bring out your evening wear than your basic jeans.

Hours, rates and services

The club is open Thursday through Saturday, from 9 pm to 4 am. Outside of these three nights, the doors stay closed.

Expect to pay around 60 euros per couple for entry. On site, a bar and a cloakroom are available, and themed nights punctuate the calendar depending on current announcements.

What people are saying

Le Quetzal remains a young establishment, and online reviews are still scarce. The ones that exist show a low rating, around 2 out of 5, which calls for caution even though the number of reviews remains too limited to draw a definitive conclusion.
