A fresh start
Angely's Club closed its doors for two years before recently reopening under new management. Located on avenue de Jarnac in Saint-Jean-d'Angély, in Charente-Maritime, this libertine sauna club has clearly used the break wisely to start over on solid ground.
The reviews since the reopening keep mentioning a warm welcome and a staff that listens, which matters for a venue that had to win back its regular crowd.
Hours and rates
The club opens Monday from 2:30pm to 7pm, stays closed Tuesday and Wednesday, then reopens Thursday (2:30pm to 7pm and 10pm to 2am), Friday (10pm to 2:30am), Saturday (10pm to 3am) and Sunday (3pm to 10pm).
On the pricing side, entry is free for women alone every day. For couples, expect 38 euros on Monday, Thursday, Sunday and Friday, and 50 euros on Saturday. Men pay 40 euros those same days, 48 euros on Friday and 60 euros on Saturday. These rates include two non-alcoholic drinks.
The last Saturday of the month is reserved exclusively for couples, worth keeping in mind if you're planning to come solo that day.
Spaces and facilities
The venue plays the full sauna club card: sauna, hammam, jacuzzi and heated pool sit alongside private spaces for more intimate moments and a bar to meet up between activities.
Another distinctive feature: you can stay overnight on site. The chalets go for 60 euros a night, and the guest rooms for 80 euros for two people or 100 euros for four, breakfast included. Enough to turn an evening into a proper getaway.
Atmosphere and feedback
Regulars describe clean, well-thought-out facilities, good music and themed nights that punctuate the calendar. Some loyal customers go as far as calling the place a benchmark in the field.
A few gripes still come up though: some visitors find the space a bit small, and the rates can feel steep for afternoon slots, which are less lively than the weekend evenings.

One detail not to forget: payment is cash or check only, no bank cards accepted on site. Access is reserved for adults, as with any venue of this kind.
