A former Castel turned gentlemen's club

The Blue Club occupies the walls of the old Castel, a Nantes discotheque that had been livening up the city's nights since the 1980s. When Covid brought classic clubs to a halt, Christophe Robin made the opposite bet: turning the place into a strip club, around 2020. The decor was entirely redone, but the basement kept its discotheque soul.

We're just steps from the Château de Nantes here, on a quiet street that gives nothing away about what happens behind its facade.

What you'll find on site

The ground floor works as a bar with dance shows and table dance. The dancers also offer closer lap dances, and private lounges allow for small-group shows for those wanting more intimacy.

Downstairs, the atmosphere changes completely: it's the discotheque part, where you can carry the night on once the numbers are done. The club welcomes men and women alike, solo or in groups, and offers private hire for corporate nights or bachelor and bachelorette parties.

Hours and prices

The Blue Club is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 11pm to 5am. On Sunday and Monday, the doors stay shut.

As for pricing, entry is free before midnight, then rises to 20 euros after that hour. Note that the venue is not wheelchair accessible.

Online reviews are plentiful and mostly point the same way: the dancers' professionalism comes up often, as does the good organization of the evenings. Visitors talk about a friendly atmosphere, far from the sometimes cold image people attach to this type of venue.
