A love shop designed differently

Avec Love opened its doors in November 2023 right in the heart of Besançon, on rue Jean Petit. Behind the counter, Andie Gaubert and Stéfanie Kershak, the two founders, wanted a space that breaks away from the usual sex shop codes: here, the idea isn't just to sell toys, but to shake up taboos around sexuality, and to do it with kindness.

The shop openly claims to be inclusive, and you can feel it both in the range on offer and in the welcome. Couples, single women, single men, trans people, LGBTQIA+ customers: everyone finds their place here, with no sideways looks and no judgment.

What you'll find on the shelves

The selection goes well beyond classic sex toys (even though the range is wide and covers pretty much every preference). You'll also find BDSM accessories, specialized lingerie, intimate cosmetics made with more environmentally friendly materials, and erotic games to share.

Worth noting: the shop offers items specifically designed for trans people, such as binders, tuckers and packers, which remains rare in this kind of business. Alongside that, a selection of handcrafted leather items rounds out the offer for those who appreciate more elaborate materials.

Feedback about the shop keeps coming back to the same point: the team takes the time to advise, without any sales pressure and with real attention to the person in front of them. The founders' stated approach of destigmatizing sexuality translates concretely into workshops and events organized regularly in the shop, which help build a loyal and engaged customer base, notably through social media.
