A shop unlike the others

Forget the image of the dim sex shop with red neon lights. Déboutonné·e·s opened in September 2020 just steps from the Halles de Strasbourg, in a former Lancaster brand store, and it shows: colorful wallpaper, furniture that moves around as needed, a vibe closer to a fashion boutique than a classic love store.

Behind the counter, Caroline Nerry and her daughter Adèle Roy, who built the project together. An unusual family story in this line of work, and one that sets the tone: here, pleasure and sexual wellbeing are talked about without awkwardness or uncomfortable undertones.

Who it's for, what it's for

The shop claims a deliberately inclusive approach: couples, single women, single men, trans and LGBTQ+ people all find their place here without having to justify themselves. You'll spot both nervous first timers and regulars coming back to restock.

On the shelves: sex toys and intimate toys, lingerie designed for every gender and every body type (binders included), erotic literature, cosmetics and sexual wellbeing products. Prices range from 3 to 180 euros, enough to satisfy curious small budgets as well as bigger cravings.

Since February 2025, the shop has also offered refurbished sex toys at reduced prices, a way to open up access to pleasure without breaking the bank and to cut down on waste. Some of the lingerie comes from Mundolsheim, nearby, and certain candles are made right in Strasbourg: local sourcing here isn't just a marketing line.

Advice and discretion

The team follows ongoing training so they can answer questions straightforwardly, whether it's about choosing a first toy or finding lingerie that fits one's body. Discretion is guaranteed, both at the counter and at checkout.

The shop regularly runs activities on social media (contests, treasure hunts), and its layout, designed to accommodate modular furniture, hints at future workshops on site. A partnership with a local pickup point for local products is also in the works.

Many highlight that it's the ideal place for a first visit, solo or as a couple, without the usual discomfort of traditional sex shops.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 7pm, access is restricted to those over 18, as everywhere else in this type of business.
