An immense stretch
Kerver beach is first and foremost a question of scale: it's the largest stretch of sand on the entire Rhuys peninsula, and it runs far enough to change municipality along the way. It starts at Arzon and ends at Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys, with dunes and fine sand in between that set the holiday tone right away.
You get there via a wooded path starting from the golf course, a short walk that already acts as a buffer between the road and the beach. A way to arrive relaxed, which counts for something on a first naturist outing.
Two moods, two municipalities
Naturism has been tolerated here since 2016, with signs clearly indicating it on site, even though an old municipal decree from the 1990s banning the practice still lingers in the texts without being enforced. In practice, naturists and textile beachgoers coexist well, everyone finds their spot without tension.
The northern section, on the Arzon side, has lifeguard supervision in summer. The southern section, on the Saint-Gildas side, doesn't. A detail worth knowing if you're going with family or prefer swimming with a watchful eye on the beach.
Access and facilities
Access to the beach is free year round, with no set hours or entry ticket. Parking, meanwhile, combines free and paid spots depending on where you park.
On site, you'll find showers, restaurants nearby, access designed for people with reduced mobility, as well as the option to kayak or try other water sports. Enough to turn a simple sunbathing session into a full day out, between swimming, napping and strolling.
What regulars say
Specialized naturist sites rank Kerver among the must-visit beaches in the department, praising above all the quality of the facilities and the peaceful coexistence between naturists and textile holidaymakers. This is a beach naturists have been coming to for a long time, not a spot discovered yesterday.
Reviews on general platforms are more mixed, often because some textile visitors stumble upon the naturist zone without expecting it. Nothing dramatic though: the beach is wide, and everyone sets up their towel where they feel comfortable.
