One of the last spots in the area

Plage des Pintrons is one of the few remaining naturist spots in the Hautes-Alpes. It stretches along a hillock on the edge of Lac de Serre-Ponçon, between Baie Saint-Michel and the Pont du Riou Bourdou, not far from the small harbor Les Pirates.

The turquoise water and the panoramic view of the lake are what strike you first. No lifeguard, no facilities, just a stretch of shoreline where people come to settle in au naturel.

How to get there

You reach it from the Nationale 94, the road that runs along the lake toward Embrun. A parking area lets you leave the car, then you take a small pine-lined path down to the water.

The spot can be confusing the first time: the campsite Les Pirates is right nearby, and a few private setups sit close by. Better to spot the path than to look for a direct access from the road.

Who you'll find there

The crowd mixes naturists in the strict sense, couples and gay visitors. Some sources also mention a swinger crowd, though that isn't the general rule of the place.

This mix is partly explained by how isolated the beach is: not easy to access, no direct sightlines from anywhere, which draws both those looking for discretion and those simply coming to sunbathe nude.
