A tolerated zone to the south
The south beach of Carcans continues on from the town's main supervised beach, but as soon as you head further south, the crowd turns naturist. There's no municipal decree that makes this status official, unlike other spots along the Aquitaine coast. It's a tolerated custom, known to regulars and mentioned on a few naturist forums.
Access and setting
You park at the Carcans Plage Sud car park, then it takes a few hundred meters of walking on the sand to reach the naturist stretch. The setting stays that of a wide Atlantic sand beach, with no particular facilities noted for this zone.
