A hidden cove at Beg Léguer

Between Pointe Servel and Pointe de Beg Léguer, Mez-an-Aod beach tucks itself into a hamlet that few tourists know about. It's a small wild beach, not exactly signposted, and that's precisely what gives it its charm for anyone looking to undress without being disturbed.

Naturism is practiced here informally: no official signage, no regulatory status, just a long established custom among the regulars. One of the site's coves is tacitly reserved for this practice, and everyone finds their spot without needing to discuss it.

Pink sand and cool water

The fine sand on this beach has a fairly recognizable pale pink hue, specific to this stretch of the Breton coast. The west facing exposure gives it a particular light at the end of the day, and the water, though cool as is often the case along this part of the coastline, remains pleasant for anyone who likes swimming without waiting for the sea to warm up.

The cove stays modest in size. Not enough to hold a crowd, but that's also part of its appeal: even in the height of summer, visitors describe a spot that never feels overcrowded, far from the packed beach atmosphere found elsewhere along the coast.

How to get there

From Lannion, head towards Trébeurden via Servel. Just past the entrance to the Camping des Plages de Beg Léguer, a small path leads to the cove. The nearest parking is about 300 meters away, so plan on a short walk with your things.

This not exactly obvious access contributes to the spot's discretion: you don't stumble onto it by accident, which naturally limits the crowds and preserves the calm atmosphere the local naturists are after.

For hikers too

The GR34, the coastal customs path that runs along the entire Breton coastline, passes right nearby. Hikers following this trail may cross paths with the beach without necessarily stopping, and conversely, some naturists take advantage of the path to extend their outing with a walk along the neighboring headlands.

This mix of hikers and naturists happens without friction, each enjoying the site in their own way. The place still keeps its wild, unspoiled character, far from the infrastructure found on the more frequented beaches in the area.
