A full-fledged naturist village
La Chiappa isn't just a beach where people quietly strip off between two rocks. It's an official naturist holiday centre spanning 60 hectares, set on the road to Palombaggia, in Porto-Vecchio, facing the Cerbicale Islands. You'll find camping, bungalows and villas here, which makes it a full stay destination rather than a mere afternoon stop.
The beach belongs to the village and forms a wide bay of fine sand, bordered by an environment that's stayed natural. The site's management takes local wildlife and plant life into account, which gives it a preserved setting, far from the concrete you can see elsewhere on the Corsican coast.
Access for non residents
You don't need to book a full stay to enjoy La Chiappa. People from outside the holiday centre can come in for the day by paying an entry fee, which gives access to the beach and the pool. It's a handy option for testing the place out before committing to a longer stay, or simply for a day of naturism as a family.
The village usually opens in early May and closes in mid October, which leaves a good window for planning a visit throughout the whole warm season.
