A naturist getaway in the Anjou countryside
About twenty minutes from Angers, in the small town of Erdre-en-Anjou, Les Saulaies offers a fairly rare setup: fully naturist bed and breakfast rooms, run by Olivier Bodin and Bruno Garnier. Nothing like a campsite or a club, this is a proper guesthouse spirit, with landscaped grounds designed so you can relax naked without being disturbed.
Capacity stays deliberately small, eight people total, which gives the place its intimate feel rather than that of a collective establishment.
Three ways to sleep
The accommodations don't look alike. The Chambre Rouge is a traditional room with private bathroom, lounge and access to a summer kitchen. The Yourte borrows the codes of Mongolian dwellings for a more exotic night. The Chalet is a little wooden house set in nature, for those who want a bit more seclusion.
Three rooms, two bathrooms, enough to host couples or small groups without constantly bumping into each other.
Pool, sauna and wellness workshops
The grounds house a pool, a sauna, a pool table, a relaxation lounge and even a small natural pond for those who fancy a wilder swim. Olivier also offers relaxing massages and, depending on the season, runs yoga, pilates, tai chi or reiki workshops.
The table d'hôtes is one of the highlights regularly praised, with carefully prepared food served for around 32 euros per person. Breakfast, linens and wifi are included in the stay, and bikes are available for exploring the area.
A caring spirit, not a swinging one
The place's philosophy is clearly stated: respect and kindness above all, in a naturist, non swinging setting. Visitors describe attentive hosts, spotless rooms and an atmosphere geared more toward rest than excitement.
Worth noting if you're planning a visit: the 2026 season (from April 1st to September 27th) is announced as the last under Olivier and Bruno's current management. Budget wise, expect 85 euros for one person, 90 to 95 euros for two, table d'hôtes extra.
