A quiet cottage between the Gers and the Pyrenees
La Remise Gasconne is a tiny one-hectare island of nature, set in the Gers countryside with the Pyrenees mountain range cutting the horizon in the background. This is far from the big naturist complexes with back-to-back entertainment: here it's a gîte, run by Serge and Lucie Béchart, designed for couples and families who are mostly after silence and fresh air.
The place is located in Louslitges, in the Gers, on the road to Mondébat. In other words, you're in the middle of the countryside, which explains part of the charm: no overlooking neighbors, no noise, just nature all around.
The gîte and its facilities
The rental includes a 20 sqm bedroom, air conditioned and heated, with bed linen provided and cleaning included in the stay. A terrace lets you enjoy the outdoors without rushing, and wifi is available for those who still want to keep a foot in the connected world.
On site, a pool and a sauna are reserved for the gîte's guests, which changes things compared to a plain rental: you can swim naked in peace, without sharing the pool with other holidaymakers. A picnic area rounds things out for meals outdoors.
Activities and surroundings
The region is well suited to those wanting to move around: bike rental, mountain biking, horse riding and fishing are all accessible from the gîte, for those who want to explore the Gers countryside beyond the terrace and the pool. La Remise Gasconne is open from June to September. Expect between 134 and 142 euros for a weekend, and from 427 to 450 euros for a full week, depending on the period chosen.
