A quiet country house

Chez Marc et Cathy is a naturist guesthouse set in Lédenon, in the Gard, about twenty kilometers from Nîmes and less than half an hour from Avignon. The property sits at the foot of a 12th century medieval castle, in a setting somewhere between the Camargue and the garrigue.

Marc and Cathy, the owners, spent many years living in the Var before settling here. It's this long experience as naturist residents that sets the tone of the house: a personal welcome, designed for short or extended stays in simply... natural attire.

The suites and amenities

Capacity stays deliberately small: three suites of 16 to 22 sqm, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning, television, WiFi and a hair dryer. This feels closer to an upscale bed and breakfast than a large naturist resort.

As for shared facilities, a 10 by 4.5 meter pool takes center stage, complemented by a sauna and a spa (count on 15 euros each as a supplement). A Californian massage can be booked on request, for those who want to stretch the relaxation out a little longer.

Who can come, and when

The house is open from May to October. It welcomes couples, both straight and LGBT, but closes its doors to single men and, naturally, to minors. Naturist attire is required throughout the property.

A single room starts at 105 euros a night, a reasonable rate given the level of comfort and the limited number of rooms. Better to book ahead, since capacity is limited to three suites.
