A historic club

Club Gymnique de France has existed since 1930, which makes it one of the two oldest naturist clubs in the country. It's tucked away in Villecresnes, in the Val-de-Marne, right in the middle of the Auteuil woods, just thirty minutes by car from Paris.

Old doesn't mean stuck in the past: the club keeps functioning like a real community, with its loyal members and its well-oiled habits. You can feel the place has been thought through and maintained over the long haul, not improvised to ride some passing trend.

The setting and the facilities

The grounds stretch across 13 hectares of wooded parkland, which leaves plenty of room to spread out and not step on each other's toes. On the equipment side, the list is long: heated pool, tennis courts, pétanque courts, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, sauna, trampoline and even a gym.

A picnic area with a barbecue lets you spend the whole day there without having to leave at noon. Reviews often mention how well maintained the facilities are, which isn't always a given in venues this age.

Who comes here

The club claims around 200 members, of all ages, in an atmosphere that aims to be family friendly above all. It's a point the venue puts forward without dancing around it: this isn't a place for swinging, and any inappropriate behavior leads to a permanent ban.

Visitor feedback confirms that image: classic, respectful naturism, far from the clichés some might have about certain mixed venues. It's a club affiliated with the Fédération Française de Naturisme, which shapes how it runs and its internal rules.

Access and rates

The club is open from May to September, Monday to Friday, from 10am to 5pm. Your first visit is open with no strings attached, just show an ID, no need to already hold a membership.

For those without a Fédération Française de Naturisme membership, a day pass is offered at 1 euro. The club also holds annual celebrations that mark the rhythm of the season and give regulars a chance to reconnect.
