A temporary closure worth knowing about
Before anything else, an important point: Le Dorier is no longer welcoming holidaymakers for now. Reopening is announced for 2027, but the site remains affiliated with the Fédération Française de Naturisme and keeps up its administrative activity.

A setting nestled in the Gorges de la Loire
The campsite occupies 6 hectares on a hillside, between 650 and 695 meters of altitude, fully south facing, about fifteen kilometers from Saint-Étienne. It's this landscape that built its reputation: regulars call it one of the most beautiful naturist grounds they know, with a view overlooking the valley.
The club has existed since 1974, making it a long standing address on the regional naturist scene, run by the association Loisir et Soleil de Saint-Étienne.
What the site used to offer
When it was running, Le Dorier had 25 camping pitches (tents, caravans, motorhomes, some connected to electricity) for a total capacity of 70 spots, plus caravans available for rent on site.
On the amenities side: a heated pool with solar shower, a paddling pool for kids, a playground, a pétanque court, a table football, a wood fired oven and a shared kitchen. A heated lounge and a small library rounded things out, plus a small grocery shop on site for essentials. Leashed pets were welcome, and ANCV vouchers accepted.
Atmosphere and life on site
The crowd was mostly family oriented: couples, families with kids, holidaymakers looking for calm more than parties. Communal meals were organized on weekends, in the spirit of a friendly association club rather than a commercial campsite.
Visitor feedback described a very warm welcome and a setting that stood out from the rest, even if the road access, uphill and sometimes narrow, called for a bit of attention behind the wheel.
Practical info
Under normal circumstances, the season ran from June 15 to September 15, with arrivals between 2pm and 5:30pm and departures before 10am. The address remains 872 Route du Dorier, in Saint-Victor-sur-Loire, in the Loire department.
