A large plot in the heart of the natural park
La Petite Brenne spreads over 42 hectares of forests and meadows, in the regional natural park of the Brenne, in Luzeret in the Indre. The site is crossed by a stream and has a pond of more than one hectare, ideal for fishing as well as walking. Biodiversity is strong here, with wild orchids and a bird population that gives the place the feel of a nature reserve more than a classic campsite.
Created in 1996 by the Dutch couple Carel and Anja Burgmans, now joined by their daughter Charlotte, the establishment has built a reputation as a family naturist campsite, open to couples with children as much as to solo travelers.
Pitches and accommodations
The campsite offers 150 pitches equipped with electricity, freely spread across the site: everyone picks their own spot of shade or meadow, with the option of moving elsewhere during the stay. For those who don't come with their own tent or caravan, mobile homes and chalets are also available.
The entry rate starts at 27 euros a night for two adults, a car and one accommodation (tent or caravan), which stays in the average range for this type of place. Payment is made in cash or by Visa card, and an account system lets you settle your purchases from the bar or the bakery all at once at the end of your stay.
Pools, restaurant and activities
On the amenities side, La Petite Brenne doesn't do things halfway: heated indoor pool with a children's basin, outdoor pool, sauna, fishing pond. The restaurant, set up in an old barn, serves a daily menu, complemented by a pizzeria snack bar open every evening, a bar and a bakery.
Activities and art workshops are offered regularly during the season, which runs from May 20 to September 20. The reception desk is open from 8am to noon, then from 2pm to 7pm.
