Domaine de l'Eglantière

The Domaine de l'Eglantière stretches across 45 hectares at the foot of the Pyrenees, between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. It's one of the largest naturist camps in the region, with a small river running through the grounds that lets you swim right in nature.

Accommodation and rates

The estate has 91 camping pitches and 29 rentals (gîtes, chalets, mobile homes, ready-to-camp tents). Rates start around 130 euros a week, which stays accessible for a naturist stay out in nature.

The grounds welcome families with children just as much as couples or naturists who come alone. A free kids' club runs in high season for ages 5 and up.

Pools, restaurant and activities

Two pools heated to 26 degrees year round, including one for children, are among the highlights visitors mention. The on-site restaurant, bar, pizzeria and grocery store mean you never have to leave the grounds during your stay.

There's also a sauna, a petanque court, ping-pong, bikes available to use and trails for hiking. Wifi is available but limited to certain areas of the campsite. Three sanitary blocks with hot water and a laundry room round out the facilities.

Activities and themed evenings punctuate the high season, with guided hikes organized regularly.

The team's welcome is often described as warm, and the natural setting (green fields, river, view of the Pyrenees) comes up again and again in positive reviews. The well kept pool and the options for walking or biking are also among the things people appreciate.

A few drawbacks come up too: occasional hygiene issues, prices seen as high at the bar, and management sometimes perceived as not very warm despite being professional. Dogs running loose on the grounds are also mentioned as a nuisance by some visitors.
