A lake at the heart of Limousin

Lous Suais is a naturist campsite set in the wild valley of the Maulde river, right in the middle of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. You reach it via the Chemin des Suais, in Cheissoux, and the first thing that strikes you is the lake. A genuine natural swimming lake, huge, bordering the grounds and serving as the main beach all summer long.

The setting stays forested and peaceful, far from the buzz of the big naturist resorts on the coast. People come here for nature just as much as for shedding their clothes.

Accommodation and rates

The campsite is open from May 1st to October 15th for tent, caravan and motorhome pitches, starting at 21.50 euros a night. The chalets, meanwhile, can be rented year round, from 525 to 700 euros a week depending on the season.

This dual setup allows for a weekend under canvas just as easily as a longer stay in a chalet, outside the usual naturist season.

Atmosphere and crowd

Naturism here is practiced in the spirit of the definition upheld by the Fédération Française de Naturisme, meaning without sexual connotation, in a spirit of well being and mutual respect. The place mostly attracts families and couples who are regulars of the naturist scene.

Visitor feedback keeps pointing to the warm welcome and family atmosphere, far from livelier or younger spots. The lake remains, in every account, the site's number one asset.

On site services

The campsite offers a bar, regular activities and the chance to fish right on the spot. Wifi is available and dogs are welcome, which makes things easier for family stays or trips with pets.

Swimming in the lake stays the main activity, but the activities also give rhythm to the days for those looking for a bit of collective life in the evening.
