A community club rooted in the landscape

In Osselle-Routelle, on the road to Torpes, the Club naturiste de Besançon occupies three hectares on the edge of the forest. This 1901-law association has existed since 1969 and belongs to the Fédération Française de Naturisme. It brings together around a hundred members, in a natural setting that has stayed deliberately simple.

This isn't a commercial campsite with entertainment and shops, but a plot managed by its own members. The vibe that comes through is more that of a club where everyone knows each other, far from the anonymity of the big naturist resorts on the coast.

What you'll find on site

The pool is the club's central feature, the one around which collective life gets organized. Showers, toilets and drinking water round out the setup. The grounds welcome both tents and caravans for those who want to settle in for several days.

One point worth mentioning: photographers are banned from the pool area. A rule that protects the members' peace and quiet, and sets the tone of the place, designed for relaxation rather than for the camera.

The season runs from May 1st to September 15th. Outside that window, the grounds aren't in use, which fits the usual rhythm of naturist clubs in this region, geared more toward the warm season than year round use. For an outing in Franche-Comté far from the South's big naturist hubs, this club offers a nearby alternative, human-scaled and focused on community life rather than oversized facilities.
