A nature campsite at the foot of the Luberon
Messidor spreads over 10 hectares of greenery and woods, 15 km from Aix-en-Provence, in Le Puy Sainte Réparade. The setting is restful and wooded, far from the bustle, which explains why a good number of regulars come back every year. It's a 3 star naturist campsite, open from May 14th to September 14th.
The clientele is fairly mature and European (lots of Dutch, Italian and French guests), as couples or families. People come here for the quiet and for naturism without fuss, far from the more festive clubs.
Pitches and accommodation
The campsite has 85 spacious pitches, about 100 m2 each, shaded or not depending on what you fancy. 56 have an electrical hookup, handy for tents and caravans that stay several weeks.
For those who don't camp, Messidor also rents mobile homes, including air conditioned versions and duo packages for two people. Rates start around 151.20 euros a week.
Pool, restaurant and activities
The 200 m2 pool, with a depth of 1.5 meters, is one of the site's strong points. It's open from May 1st to September 15th and reviews describe it as large and well maintained.
On the food side, a restaurant with a terrace serves Provençal specialties, especially on weekends. A daily bread service is also offered, a detail appreciated by campers staying several days. A bar, a pétanque court and wifi round out the facilities, with activities organized in the evenings and on weekends.
What the regulars say
Feedback highlights the warm welcome and the family atmosphere, with staff who know their loyal clientele well. The overall cleanliness and the site's calm come up often in the comments.
A few downsides though: the access road is considered to be in poor condition by some visitors, and the upkeep of certain facilities is described as uneven depending on the period.
