An estate on the lake shore

Verdon Provence occupies 33 hectares right on the shore of Lac d'Esparron, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The estate has been entirely dedicated to naturism since it opened, some sixty years ago, making it one of the oldest naturist campsites in the region.

Two private, untouched coves let you swim naked without being seen from the public banks. Well-kept hiking trails cross the property and lead, in a 10 to 15 minute walk, to a kayak launch point for the Gorges du Verdon.

Wellness and dining spaces

On site, a heated pool, a spa and a sauna round out the offer for those who'd rather unwind without necessarily heading to the lake. The restaurant highlights local produce and offers vegetarian options, with a terrace bar-restaurant for meals and evenings out.

An on-site grocery shop means you can stock up without leaving the estate. Accommodation ranges from simple camping pitches to chalets and safari tents, for stays of a few nights or several weeks.

Activities and atmosphere

The activity schedule includes pétanque, aquagym sessions, guided naturist hikes followed by drinks, as well as karaoke, bingo and craft or cosmetics workshops depending on the season. The atmosphere is described as serene, with a mix of couples, families and long-time naturist regulars, both French and from elsewhere in Europe.

Reviews often mention the quality of the welcome and the staff's strict respect for full naturism, in a setting considered especially well kept for a 4 star campsite.

Practical info

The campsite is open from April 30 to September 27. Access is via chemin des Cigales, in Esparron de Verdon. Rates aren't listed online but discounts exist for longer stays, available on request by phone or email.
