What works

What Sagittarius offers Capricorn is rare: permission to stop calculating. Capricorn has spent years being the reliable one, the one who handles it, and here comes someone who laughs at the wrong moment, suggests a Tuesday night drive with no destination, and genuinely does not care what the neighbours think. Something loosens. Capricorn laughs harder with Sagittarius than with almost anyone.

What Capricorn offers back is equally rare, and Sagittarius usually notices it late. Structure. Someone who remembers the paperwork, the insurance, the fact that a dream needs a deposit. Physically, this is the part that keeps them coming back when the rest is a mess. Capricorn's reputation for restraint is a front. Behind the closed door there is appetite, patience, and a taste for control that Sagittarius finds far more exciting than expected.

The rhythms clash first. Sagittarius wants it now, half-dressed, laughing, in the hallway before the coat is even off. Capricorn wants the door locked, the phone face down, and time. What throws them off: Sagittarius gets bored with a routine that works, and says so, usually clumsily. Capricorn hears criticism of their performance and shuts down for a week. Also, Capricorn's body follows their mood at work more than they admit, and Sagittarius takes that personally.

The fix is unglamorous but real: Sagittarius asks for new things as an invitation, never as a comparison. And Capricorn schedules it. Yes, actually schedules it. Anticipation is the one thing they both enjoy.

To make it last

Put the dreams in writing or stop announcing them. Sagittarius, if you say "we're moving to Lisbon" and mean "wouldn't that be nice", say the second version. Capricorn files everything you say as a commitment. That gap is what eventually breaks the trust.

Capricorn, set a twenty-four hour rule on the freeze. When Sagittarius upsets you, you have one day to say it out loud, badly if necessary. After that it turns into a grudge and you'll use it as a weapon six months later. The silence hurts Sagittarius more than any insult you could invent.
